One of Jarrettsville Federal’s long-standing traditions is to give back to the community. The people who live and work in our area are our valued customers, and we take every opportunity to help them. You’ll see our team members supporting events around town and volunteering at their local non-profit organizations. You’ll see Jarrettsville Federal supporting schools, libraries and fund raisers throughout the community as we are able to. Here are just a few of our efforts:

Jarrettsville Federal President and CEO Gary Barnoff helped kick off the Harford County Public Library’s Summer Reading Program in its new children’s section at the Bel Air branch.  Pictured at far right, Barnoff joined program sponsors for an event that celebrated this year’s theme, “Build a Better World.”

Jarrettsville Federal sponsored the summer reading program for the second consecutive year.  “We are delighted to be a sponsor again this year for what is one of the most far-reaching programs in the county.  Reading is so important for our children, and we’re happy to be able to help bring this program to families throughout the area,” Barnoff said.

Nancy Dorn, Jarrettsville Federal Senior Vice President/Bank Operations, (fourth from left, back) also attended the event.   “Students who registered for the program received a bag full of surprises from the library and the program sponsors, and they will get a special reward from the library when they return their completed reading logs,” Dorn explained.  “We find it very rewarding to see the excitement and enthusiasm of the children lined up on kick-off day to sign up for the program, and we welcome any of the students and their parents to stop by our office on Norrisville Road in Jarrettsville to let us know how they liked it.”
